In a basic sense, stress is the feeling produced by the consequences of failure to react or act to certain situation. This feeling, when compounded gives us a sense of uneasiness and urgency. While prompt action can ultimately take care of stress not all situations can be solved sadly, and therefore we are left to deal with the consequences. No one likes to fail or fall short of their target, this is why every day we try to fulfil all our responsibilities, do our work to the best that we can and deal with problems to the extent of our full capacities.

But it is also an inescapable fact that we can’t succeed in everything. Frustrations will in one way or another happen, sometimes things just don’t work out, and we all fail from time to time. In order to keep ourselves sane and functional we need to be able to manage our stress levels. Two possible stress relief methods that you can use are meditation and self-hypnosis. If you are looking for meditation stress hypnosis then chances are you won’t find any as none exists. There’s meditation and then there’s self-hypnosis, there is no such thing as meditation self hypnosis.

Depending on which method you would like to try or are comfortable with, you can use either of the two to alleviate and minimize the stress that you feel. Meditation is defined as the absence of all thought and just letting things be. Basically true meditation is somewhat leaving things behind for the whole session. Meditation is emptying yourself, so therefore when you are contemplating something or thinking about situations, no matter how relaxed you might feel, you are no longer meditating.

Hypnosis or self-hypnosis on the other hand is more on using your thoughts to strengthen your affirmation (good things that you say about your self, i.e. I am hardworking, I am patient, etc.) and is more aimed at the achievement of something. Better work results, stopping yourself from smoking, stress management, pain management and others for example are just a few of the situations that self-hypnosis can help you with.

Both these practices use different methods and scenarios to achieve whatever goal you might be setting your sights to which in this case would be stress management. The main difference of hypnosis from meditation would be in the goals. In meditation you would most likely be aiming for relaxation by imagining yourself far away from all the troubles by taking yourself into a secluded, quiet place like the mountains, fields of grass or the ocean. In hypnosis, the main aim is to strengthen your affirmations.

Meditation self hypnosis is nonexistent sadly, it sounds like a great idea to have best of both what these two can offer but its just not possible. If you are interested in knowing more about these methods, take time to read up on books or check the web, this will hopefully be able to help you determine which one can really work best for you.
